The Seattle Seahawks are another one of the playoff teams from a year ago that really found great value in their 2004 draft class. After three years, six of their seven draft picks are still with the team and three have developed into productive starters.
The cream of this draft crop is D. J. Hackett, the talented wide out from the University of Colorado. Hackett grabbed 45 passes for 610 yards in 14 games last season and many think he will be a big star in this league for a long time. Strong safety Michael Boulware out of Florida State is a solid player on a very good defense while starting right tackle Sean Locklear will, no doubt, be a mainstay on the O-line in Seattle for years to come. Three of the remaining four picks from the 2004 draft remain with the quad and contribute on special teams or in back-up roles making this a truly valuable draft class for the 2006 NFC West Champions.
