Reasons(Excuses) for starting 9-7

Okay, …see what happened was…, uh, …well see, …the Saints were robbed!!!!

Here is why, after the first weekend, I have my head hung in shame. I’ll be undefeated from here on out though, so it’s all good.

The Saints had a ridiculous gameplan for the Colts. An undersized, inexperienced Colts defense was made to look like Super Bowl Champions. Oh wait, they are Super Bowl Champions. Deuce McAllister and Reggie Bush combined for a whopping 22 carries in the game. The Saints have to pound the football first to open up the rest of the playbook, not the other way around.

The Vikings beat the Falcons, because quite frankly, Joey Harrington is still Joey Harrington.

Jake Delhomme is obviously concerned about David Carr, so he appears to be properly motivated. Good for the Panthers.

The Eagles lost to the Packers, so I guess Donovan McNabb really isn’t 100%. Any of you 100%?? I can’t remember the last time I was 100%, but I digress. I don’t know what that means, but I always wanted to say it.

I don’t really have an explanation for the Jags losing to the Titans. Chris Brown maybe?? Who knew??

I guess I got caught up in the Jamarcus Russell thing and thought the Raiders might… Oh yeah, he wasn’t signed yet and the Raiders are still the Raiders!!! What was I thinking?? Or drinking??

The Bengals beating the Ravens didn’t really surprise me, but I thought the Ravens offense would be much better. They looked bad. I guess that’s why they play more than just one game.
