It was a brutal week 10 for me and some prominent players around the league. I was 6-8 for the second time this season, but at least I didn’t break my foot or tear a knee ligament.
I can’t decide which injury is worse. The foot of Dwight Freeney or the knee of Adrian Peterson. I guess they are equal, but different. Freeney means so much to the Colt’s defense as an emotional leader as well as a productive DE. I don’t think Adrian Peterson is a locker room leader for the Vikings, but he is certainly all they have on the field.
Some random thoughts.
After Ray Lewis’ rant last week following the Ravens lost to the Steelers in Pittsburgh, he must be ready to blow a blood vessel. When I chose Baltimore to make it to the Super Bowl, I had no idea they were this bad on offense.
Apparently, the four teams the Saints beat on their mini winning streak didn’t get the memo about throwing on the left cornerback. The Rams wore Jason David out. Something has to happen at that position for the Saints to have any chance at the post season.
The Packers continue to over-achieve. Does anyone outside of Wisconsin really think they are an 8-1 team??
Is this the week JaMarcus Russell is given the keys in Oakland?? I would think that pressure is mounting on Lane Kiffin to see what the kid can do. It will be fun to watch, especially, if he comes in and the Raiders show some life. Stay tuned!!

1I have Peterson on my fantasy team. So I will have to go with him as the more important loss (for me at least). I went 7-7 this week but at least my Niners played well (insert sarcasm here!)

2The upside is, Peterson isn’t out for the season. You may get him back in time for your playoffs. As for the 49ers, I feel the same about them as I did about the Ravens. I thought this was the breakout year. Go figure.

3The worse injury IMO would be that substained by Dunta Robinson. The guy was having a pro bowl year and is one of the few shining players on Texans. They say he won’t be able to travel until 12 days after the surgery, just imagine the time it will take to get back on the field, if at all. By the way, I hope the Texans are looking at tape on Jason David, maybe they will be able to make some plays, then again they might have gotten the memo.

5Believe me, if the Texans throw at David they will make first downs every time.

6Noodle, the Dolphins have a 2 week roster exemption to decide what to do with Ricky Williams. Cam Cameron has said he didn’t want any part of Ricky Williams, but that was before Ronnie Brown went down with a knee injury. I think it’s funny that Randy Mueller has to deal with Williams again. Remember, when Mueller was GM in New Orleans, he couldn’t wait to get rid of him in favor of Deuce McAllister.

8Probably, but I think he was stoned when he applied for reinstatement.
