After going 6-8 last week, I feel like I owe you all an apology. …Not really, I think my picks last week were taken out of context. Anyway, here we go!!

Jeff Garcia Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL FootballTampa Bay at Atlanta
Jeff Garcia and the Buccaneers travel up I-75 to take on the Falcons in Atlanta. The Falcons have won two in a row, but apparently that’s not enough to keep Joey Harrington in the starting line up. Byron Leftwich gets the knod and will be soundly whipped by the division leading Bucs. The final score will be 20-10.

Cleveland at Baltimore
I know I’ve said this before, but choosing the Browns to win a game on the road makes me more nervous than Paris Hilton at a spelling bee. The Ravens are just soooo bad on offense, it’s impossible to pick ‘em anymore!! So there you go!! The Browns by a hundred points or so.

New York Giants at Detroit
The Giants take their much improved defense on the road to Detroit to face the surprising Lions. The problem here is, the Giant’s secondary isn’t very good and you know what that means to Mike Martz!! The Lions are gonna throw it all over the place. I’ll take the Lions in this one 31-27.

Brian Westbrook Philadelphia Eagles NFL FootballMiami at Philadelphia
Unfortunately for the Dolphins, they won’t have Ricky Williams in the line up. Fortunately for the Eagles they will have Brian Westbrook. Rookie QB John Beck will get his first start in the NFL for the Dolphins, which is Latin for “there is no way on earth the Dolphins win this game”.

Oakland at Minnesota
The hapless Raiders travel to the heartland to play the hapless Vikings. With Adrain Peterson out, Minnesota has absolutely nothing on offense. I promise, I can’t name 5 Vikings. Sadly, I can name 5 Raiders. Wow, that’s weird!! Anyway, Daunte Culpepper will lead the Raiders to the victory here, but JaMarcus Russell, really, should be playing by now!!

San Diego at Jacksonville
In what I think is the best game of the week, the Chargers fly across the southern half of the country to play the Jaguars in Jacksonville. David Garrard will start at quarterback for the Jags and give them a much needed shot in the arm. San Diego’s roller coaster of a season will take another downward turn and send them back to California with a loss.

Kansas City at Indianapolis
Oh My!! This game sets up to be a blood bath. A couple of things are at work here. The Chiefs are terrible and the Colts are “ticked”!! Peyton Manning and the Colts are going to hammer Brodie Croyle and whoever else plays for the Chiefs. Wait, …I think the Colts just scored.

Carson Palmer Cincinnati Bengals NFL FootballArizona at Cincinnati
The Cardinals head to the “Queen City” to take on Carson Palmer and the Bengals. I hate picking games like this. With my luck lately, whoever I pick will lose, …so I’m open to taking bribes at this point. Oh well, I guess I’ll try the Bengals again. …There’s no way this is gonna be right!!

Stay tuned for more pigskin prognostication to come!!
