Here are the first round of picks for week 13. What’s the holiday the Thursday after Thanksgiving or is it the NFL Network wants the whole stage to itself?? Thursday night games just feel like Conference USA to me.

Tony Romo Dallas Cowboys NFL footballGreen Bay at Dallas
We’ll start with tonight’s game between the two 10-1 Super Bowl pretenders, the Packers and the Cowboys. What do we call this game?? Super Bowl 42 3/4?? Anyway, I don’t think the Green Bay defense can keep up with the Dallas offense for 60 minutes and I don’t think this game will live up to the hype. The Cowboys win it, 31-20.

San Francisco at Carolina
The 49ers have Trent Dilfer and the Panthers haven’t won a game at home in over a year. Oh man!! I hate to say it, but I think the 49ers will ride their emotional win last week into Charlotte and squeak by the Cats, 17-13.

Buffalo at Washington
With what the Washington Redskins have dealt with this week, there is no way, in this world or any other, they lose to the Bills in this game. The question is, how much do they win by?? My guess is 24-10.

Houston at Tennessee
In one of the “stinkers” of the week, the Texans head to Nashville to take on the Titans. I just can’t come up with a good reason to pick the Texans on the road in this game. Vince Young will play just good enough for the Titans to win. I say 13-7.

Steven Jackson St. Louis Rams NFL FootballAtlanta at St. Louis
There was a time, not so long ago, that this would have been the game of the week. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. The Falcons will travel to St. Louis and have their butts handed to them by the Rams. Steven Jackson will rush for 900 yards and Byron Leftwich and Joey Harrington will actually become the same person!! I’ll take the Rams at home, 24-13.

Seattle at Philadelphia
This game hinges on whether the Eagles show up to play coming off their epic near upset of the Patriots last week. I’ve seen too many times where teams had a let down after such a draining game. I think the Eagles are just enough of a mess to let that happen. I’ll take the Seahawks on the road in this one, 27-21.

Come back later to catch the rest of my mind numbing knowledge.
