The Cowboys proved they are the class of the NFC last night in their convincing win over the Packers. At no point during the game did I feel like the Packers were going to win it. Translation?? …My pick was right, of course!!
I may have an amendment to my pick of the Rams over the Falcons. Rams QB Marc Bulger was listed as out for the game with a concussion. …Naaaah!! I’ll take Gus Frerotte over Joey Leftwich any day.
Oh well, let’s get to it.
Detroit at Minnesota
The Lions at the Vikings is one of the better “headscratchers” of the weekend. My itchy head tells me to take the Lions on the road, 24-13.
Jacksonville at Indianapolis
The Jaguars are playing very good football of late and the Colts seem to be treading water until they get some key injuries healed. Since this game is being played in Indy, I have to go with the defending Champs. You do remember they are the Champs, …Right??
San Diego at Kansas City
Is this KC’s 12th home game this year?? Well it seems like it!! The Chiefs have no chance in this game and San Diego will re-charge their batteries!! Ha! Re-charge their bat…, nothing!! The Chargers will go into Arrowhead and manhandle the Chiefs, 31-10.
New York Jets at Miami
I would love to pick the Dolphins over the Jets in this game. I thought Miami showed some fight last week against the Steelers. The Jets are terrible, but the “fish” have too many key injuries to overcome. The Jets will win 13-10.
Denver at Oakland
The Broncos head to the Bay to face the improving Raiders. Oddly enough, the Broncos seem to be the team in this game that is “out of sorts” as my mother would say. The Raiders seem to be committed to fighting for a 5-11 record instead of seeing if their #1 draft pick has any game in this league. I get that they want him to learn from the veterans, but it’s week 13!!! Jay Cutler and the running back du jour will make just enough plays to head back to the snow with a win.
Cleveland at Arizona
The thought that the Browns will be 8-4 with a win in the desert makes me crazier than a runned over dawg!! The Cardinals can’t seem to get any momentum for a winning streak. The Browns will dig this one out late, 24-21.
Tampa Bay at New Orleans
OMG!! Joey Galloway and Jason David on the same field!! Rest assured, the Buccaneers got the memo about Mr. David. They may not even look at the right side of the field during this game. I predict 1200 yards passing between the two offenses. The Saints have to win here or they are all but done in the playoff picture. As bad as it hurts to say it, the Bucs will come into the Dome and out duel Drew Brees and the Saints, 38-34. Ughhhh!!
New York Giants at Chicago
I’m pretty sure about one thing in this game. The Giants won’t kick the ball to Devin Hester!! If they do, I would walk down to the field and fire Tom Coughlin on the spot. They may actually fire Eli Manning on the spot if he has another game like he had last week. I’ve never voiced much of an opinion of Eli, but I’m not sure he any 5 TD, 0 INT games in him like his brother does. The Bears will send a ton of pressure at him and he’s going to have to stand in there and make something happen. I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt here and say the Giants get back on track this week, 20-13.
Cincinnati at Pittsburgh
This should prove to be one of the most entertaining games of the week. If the Steelers get the field sorted out and Carson Palmer continues to play well for the Bengals, this could be a relatively high scoring affair. For these two teams 24-20 is a shootout. I’ll take the Steelers to win it at home.
New England at Baltimore
In the Monday nighter we get to see Mr. Hoodie and the Patriots yet again. The Ravens defense had better show up or this thing will be 200-0 by halftime. I’m not kidding about the zero part, by the way. I don’t, for the life of me, see how Baltimore even gets in the red zone against the Pats. Realistically I think the score will be 34-3 and the 3 is from a loooong field goal.
Well, there you have it. Week 13 in a rather large nutshell. Have a great weekend everyone and I’ll Blog at you again soon.

1Your right about a tough call on the Tampa Orleans call, but I would watch out for Brees and Colston this week. With the Steelers, I think that Palmer should put it to em and give the new guy his first home loss. But that might be cause Im a little bitter about starting Big Ben last week and losing by 1 in my ff league.

2Noodle, Galloway kills NO no matter who the DBs are. I wish the Saints would trade for the guy just to keep from playing him twice a year. Palmer is my FFL QB, so I hope they win at Pittsburgh too. Have a great weekend!!

3I like these picks, especially the Tampa over NO.
Eli did such a good job last week throwing TD passes, that they are going to have him do kick offs and punts.
