It’s Official, LT’s a Jerk!!

A couple of thoughts from the weekend.

Ladanian Tomlinson San Diego Chargers NFL Football Why is it that we think LaDanian Tomlinson is a good guy?? It seems we are expected to believe that he is a personable guy from his commercials and such, when all evidence is to the contrary. We were told he was just “passionate” when he acted like a 2 year old over the Patriots celebrations last year. Earlier this year he had a heated confrontation with QB Phillip Rivers on the sidelines during a game and we all said, “man, that guy wants to win”. After this weekend, maybe now we can say that LT is just a jerk!! During the Charger’s game yesterday against the Titans, Phillip Rivers was struggling and had thrown an interception. After the play, a visibly upset Rivers made his way to the bench where Tomlinson was sitting. When Rivers sat down, Tomlinson said an expletive to him and got up and walked away. When I saw this, my first thought was “what a d#%#”!!! The last a checked, football is a team game and I’m sure at some point LT has dropped a pass or two and wasn’t treated like a complete moron. In the end, Phillip Rivers played better and threw for two touchdowns in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime and Tomlinson ran for the winning score shortly thereafter. So one of my Christmas wishes is that LT would lighten up and become the good teammate we all kinda thought he was.

Michael Vick Atlanta Falcons NFL Football It was reported this morning that Michael Vick was sentenced to 23 months in prison and 3 years probation after that. Now everyone is talking about him returning to the league in 2009. Are You Kidding Me?? Am I missing something here?? He will still be on probation after he is released from jail. Is there any one out there who doesn’t think he is going to screw his probation up?? Think about it! In the months leading up to the dogfighting episode, he was in the news a lot for a myriad of things that would have violated his probation. I, for one, think that anyone who thinks he’s coming back to the NFL robably has a Falcon logo tatooed somewhere on his or her body!!!

Idont know, tell you the truth I can see him coming back. Needless to say there is no “dirty bird” on me anywhere nor will there ever be. But looking around the league I dont see too many “good” qb’s all I see is alot of clipboard holding potential. Well, minus Manning, Romo, Brady, and the soon to be legendary Favre. All judgements aside I see the Niners holding onto Smith long enough and picking Vick just in time to ruin there wholesome image. Or maybe I’m just bitter…hey let’s get the pothead himself too (Ricky Williams)! Damn all these lame excuse rich whining bastards

Noodle, as soon as I heard Arthur blank make his “fried chicken” comment I cringed! I knew what he meant, but I also knew somebody would turn it in to something more than it was. As for Vick playing again, I still can’t see an owner putting his arm around this guy and explaining to the season ticket holders how great he is going to be for them. Even though he hasn’t been even a “good” QB for the Falcons. Thanks for the comments.
