Before getting started with my week 16 picks, I have a couple of thoughts.
The Tuna strikes again. I can’t believe that I feel sorry for a billionaire, but what the hell did Arthur Blank do to everybody. It seems that people are lining up to kick him in the butt!! When I heard that Bill Parcels was going to take the VP of Football Operations job in Atlanta, I thought, …what a good hire. It immediately stabilizes the franchise. Restores credibility to the Falcons around the league and if nothing else, they will be interesting. And then I hear, Parcels took the same job with the Dolphins. OMG!!! I had a mental image of Arthur Blank in a fetal position under his desk crying “no one wants to play with me.” I guess all the Falcons can do at this point is wait for Parcels to fire Randy Mueller and recycle him again.
Well, that’s my peace. Now on with the show.
Pittsburgh at St. Louis
The slumping Steelers invade the “Make Millions in Real Estate with No Money Down” Dome in St. Louis tonight. The Rams are done for the season while the Steelers are fighting it out with Browns for the AFC North title. It seems this game could be one sided in the Steelers favor. However, things aren’t always what they seem. The Rams are retiring the jersey number of one of the most beloved figures in St. Louis sports history tonight. Legendary RB Marshall Faulk will have that team and crowd at the top of their game. Pittsburgh has lost two games in a row and is not playing very well. I believe they are ripe for a major upset and I’m gonna call it that way. The Rams win it by 6.
Dallas at Carolina
Surprisingly, this might be one of the better games of the week. Tony Romo’s injured finger makes the Cowboy’s offense pedestrian at best. If he can’t throw, they can’t win. Roy Williams is suspended for the game after yet another “horse collar” tackle last week. Their defense isn’t as good without him and can I just say, …when their is a rule change named after you, and you keep making the play that results in penalties!! You’re just a MORON!!! Are You Kidding Me?? Even his teammates are saying it’s stupid. The Panthers have played better in recent weeks and could actually show up to play here. In the end, though, I think the Cowboys will have too much in the tank. They’ll win it by 4.
Cleveland at Cincinnati
The Bengals are imploding. The stars don’t want to play and head coach Marvin Lewis has no idea what to do about it. The Browns have everything to play for and seem to have hit their stride at just the right moment. I don’t care that this game is being played in Cincy as there will be almost as many Browns fans there as Bengals fans. The Browns win this game comfortably, 24-13.
Kansas City at Detroit
Ughhh!!! I heard they were going to cancel this game due to a lack of interest. Just Kidding!! The Chiefs have nothing to bring and the Lions are all used up. Matt Millen can’t survive again, can he?? Oh well, the Lions are a better team and will win this week’s pillow fight 27-10.
Houston at Indianapolis
The Texans can win this game if the Colts start resting starters. (Oh, and they wear all red!!) I know Tony Dungy has said he won’t do that, but he has a history. Can you imagine Mario Williams sacking Peyton Manning and landing on his knee?? Oh Man!! I think the Colts continue to roll and win it, 19-17.
Green Bay at Chicago
The Bears were eliminated from playoff contention last week, but hate the Packers. Green Bay still has a chance to be the #1 Seed in the NFC and they hate the Bears. I still think Bears QB Kyle Orton is better than Brian Griese while Packers QB Brett Favre is better than just about everybody else. To make a long story short, the Packers will win this game, 24-13.
New York Giants at Buffalo
The Giants are stinking up the place lately while the Bills continue to be one of the better stories of the year. The weather is going to bad. More rain than snow, though. Eli and Co. are gonna get out hustled and lose this game. I find it ironic that the Saints and Redskins have a better chance of getting in the playoffs because of the Giants and not the Vikings. The Giants are going to lose their last two games and open that door.
Please come back tomorrow to see the rest. Thanks and have a great day.

1Arthur Blank does seem cursed. Can’t keep QB’s, Coaches, or potential GM’s.
Hey, you picked my Lions to win. Don’t see that very often. And they did! Don’t see that very often. Best season for Matt Millen as GM ever. Please get rid of him now.
